After putting on an ancient Egyptian puzzle piece Yugi gains in ability to talk with a Pharaoh who existed hundreds of thousands of years ago, and together they seek to learn the Pharaoh's memories and name through a game called 'duel monsters' (which is what the Yugioh Trading Cards are based on, which come in Yugioh Tins). However fair journey gives them any disturbing and dark insights that will change them both.

Fortunately Yugi has many friends that are willing to help him and the Pharaoh on their perilous journey. His friends include Joey Wheeler, Tea Gardner, and Tristan Taylor.

Being a childhood friend of the Yugi, Tea is more than willing to stay at his side through all of the difficult tribulations and trials that he and the unnamed Pharaoh are destined to encounter.

Starting out as a bully, Joey changes his ways, and ends up a very close friend of Yugi. Joey however was not the only bully, Tristan was also a bully who changed his ways and became friends with Yugi after developing a crush on a girl and getting help from the little adolescent, Yugi.

Unfortunately for Yugi he didn't just make friends, he also developed one arch rival that he would encounter several times. This rival went by the name of Seto Kaiba, who wanted to be the best duelist and often appeared just to give Yugi difficulties and challenge him to duels.

However, ultimately, Yugioh! is a great story about a young boy forced to live in a world of danger and difficult circumstances that could both potentially become deadly. If you want thrills and suspense in this story will not be a letdown. Throw in some entertaining fights between duel monsters and the very many plot twists, and this anime will easily be a fun story for viewers of all ages.
